About The Department:

 The Department Of Zoology  started along with the establishment of the college in June 1958 with PUC Bi.P.C – 40 students and B.Z.C(EM) – 20 students in 1959.Since its inception the  department has been playing an important role in assisting  the college administration in organizing almost every event. At present six lecturers are working in the department who are well qualified and trained.

  • To be the nationally recognized best academic department for teaching and learning excellence in Zoology and its related areas and to increase values and ethics of life, admiration for Nature in the students and to teach the sound acquisition of knowledge of animal sciences through quality educational practices.

Mission

  • To produce highly motivated graduates capable of making a significant contribution towards sustainable development and well-being of mankind to increase advanced knowledge in the fields related to Zoology to foster a better understanding of the relation between environment and living organisms for sustainable use and conservation of natural resources.
