Andhra the first linguistic state formed in 1953, Kurnool as capital. Rajbhavan was constructed for Governer’s residence at Kurnool was kept vacant for a long time, then the deputy chief minister Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy took initiate and with the help of Philanthropist Kasi Reddy Venkat Reddy the first women’s college was started on July 27th 1958 with total 14 acres for college and 1.5 acres for hostel.
This is the First Women’s college in Government sector in Rayalaseema.
