Culture Code & Social Responsibility

• Our College has a culture code and social responsibility to mould the students with holistic development coupled with the human values, empathy by conducting many society outreach programmes, seminars, rallies, quiz competitions etc.
• The Student community of K.V.R. College participates in Innovative Programmes, Awareness Meets, Rallies, Literacy Programmes, Blood Donation Camps, Medical Camps, AIDS Awareness, Drug Addiction, Heritage Preservation etc., to create a sense of awareness on social, gender and environmental issues and to educate the co-students in specific and public issues at large.
• With a sense of care and concern to the nature and environment protection, our college students work through Nature Club, VISWA, which is registered with World Wide Fund for Nature conservation of A.P State Office. Every year environment education programmes are arranged with the resource persons from WWF. Rallies on renewable energy, Water conservation, eco friendly celebrations of festivals etc are conducted to create awareness among the public. Poster exhibitions are arranged by the Nature club to educate the students on environmental, pollution, conservation issues.
• College Red Ribbon Club arranges many lectures, rallies on the issue and used to distribute the material to educate the students. Documentary screenings on AIDS/HIV to propogate life skills.
• The JKC programmes are meant for training the students with LSRW skills, ICT skills and make them globally competent enough.
• The NSS units of the college used to arrange many intensive camps to spread Life skills, Literacy and to conduct medical camps in nearby hamlets. Huge rallies are arranged with NSS volunteers on National Voters Day, Population Day, Ozone Day, Education Day, Traffic Safety week etc to create awareness among the public. Blood Donation camps are conducted. Students are motivated to participate in voluntary works at the needy hours like floods.
• College Women Empowerment Cell is associated with ASMITA resource center for women. Every year a certificate course on gender and human rights is arranged to make the student aware on gender equality, gender discrimination, Human rights etc.
• A Heritage club is formed and registered with INTACH. Heritage tours are arranged to create a concern to protect our heritage and culture.
• Films and documentaries on social, gender and environmental issues are screened to make the students learn values and to recognize the importance of sustainable cultural development.
• The Guest Lectures, Seminars are arranged with a view to enrich the student with the subject knowledge as well as social issues of the time.
• The participatory mode of Hostel management give a chance of experiencing leadership, responsibility, interpersonal relations, group skills, task management etc. by involving the students in different committees.
• The Industrial Tours arranged by Commerce & Economics departments provide the students real field expertise.
• The Historical tours and study tours conducted by Arts and Language groups give the knowledge on our heritage, history and culture.
• The botanical tours of science departments bring the student intact with Nature and its serenity.
• The Department of Physical education arranges certificate courses on Yoga, Karate, Wush etc. to train the students to become the strong confident young cadre of women.
• The participatory management mode of Hostel helps the students to build up leadership abilities, task management, Interpersonal skills, group skills etc.
• Jawahar Knowledge Center, campus placement mission train the students with life skills, Take away skills, soft skills which are lifelong useful.
• The consumer forum of the college helps the students to know the consumer rights, laws on consumer protection. Students are motivated to participate in the rallies to educate the public on consumer rights and protection and also on adultery.
• The legal forum of the College arranges many guest lectures and talks to make the students aware of legal protection against violence, harassment and suppression of rights.
• The NCC Unit provides the opportunity to the students to take part in various camps like National integration, Mountaineering, personality development, Republic day parade, Talasainink Camps etc. to ignite the students potentials, and to unleash the hidden talents.
• This spectrum of activities help to create a strong, self confident, self resistant, knowledgeable, Social compatible, strong younger cadre of women with decision making capacity and leadership skills.
